Try Self Confidence Hypnosis To Change How You Feel About Yourself

A person who has experienced some measure of success in life may balk at the idea of self confidence hypnosis. If one is quite comfortable with his own abilities, then why rock the boat, so to speak. This belief may exactly be the reason for that person to take a second look at himself.

As actively promoted by its proponents, self confidence hypnosis may be helpful to those who have fears in these common scenarios: public speaking, socializing with people or going to job interviews. Immediately, a person who may be intrigued by hypnosis but don’t believe that he has self confidence issues may be convinced that he has no use for it. The fact is, self confidence hypnosis is not just limited to overcoming anxiety in speaking to large crowds.

Self confidence, as distinguished from self-esteem, is the belief in one’s ability or capacity to do something. To put it in another way, even if one has confidence in one thing, it does not necessarily follow that he has confidence in all things. A person who has no qualms in selling his new idea in the boardroom or in persuading his case to a hostile jury may doubt himself when it comes to haggling for the best price in buying a car or in any other situation that he is not usually accustomed to be in. After all, Nobody is perfect in every single area in his life; although it might not be crippling the person outright, he may do better if he opens to the possibilities of what self confidence hypnosis can do to him.

Most people also have past experiences that could have shaken their confidence at some point. This could be an embarrassing situation in school, a major gaffe in their first job or a car accident caused by his negligence.

Others may have had painful childhood traumas such as being told they were not beautiful or capable enough or that they should not even try something because they would only fail at it. Self-professed confident people may proudly say that they have gotten over these things by shrugging them off or pushing them out of their minds. However, while they may have had pushed them out of their conscious minds these are still very much taking residence in their subconscious minds. These beliefs would then, unbeknownst to them, rear its ugly head in the way they make decisions or behave. The only way they can take control of these negative beliefs is to extract them out of their subconscious mind and have it replaced by positive ideas. Self confidence hypnosis can certainly address this type of issue.

Another example of one’s confidence being shaken are those times when life throws him a curve ball and he is put into a situation that he needs to adjust to, but may not know exactly how. It may be during the period when one is laid off, for instance, or when one needs to relocate to a new and unfamiliar place or country or in any situation when one is taken out of his comfort zone. Some may cope easily; others, although confident in other areas, may find these changes daunting.

Lastly, there are those milestones in life that most people go through. This can be a marriage, divorce, birth of a child or loss of loved ones. Major adjustments may be needed to go through these milestones and many often find themselves at a loss on how to proceed and would start to second-guess themselves. They may be pleased to find that there is such a thing as self confidence hypnosis that can help them sail through all these changes.

Self Hypnosis - What To Expect When Learning How To Hypnotize Yourself

To put simply, self hypnosis can be likened to taking a trip down the road to your subconscious. Just as you would prepare for any vacation or road trip-by checking the weather, the car and your necessities—it also helps if you take the time to look into what to expect and what to do before embarking on this journey.

A typical how-to on self hypnosis may instruct you to go into a quiet room and ensure that there wouldn’t be any interruption or noise for a certain period of time. You are then told to close your eyes, focus on your breathing and work in order to allow your body to relax, and your mind to clear up. In this part of the self hypnosis journey, you are expected to let the body know that it’s not going to do any activity. The brain is so intertwined with your body that if your body is doing something else, the brain will rush in to control it. Note that the idea of self hypnosis is to focus on going into your subconscious mind. You won’t be able to get there when your brain is busy taking care of other business.

Also, conditioning your mind in a positive way would help your body follow suit. If you are so stressed out and keep on thinking about that—your body will not be going to the opposite way: it will continue to be rigid, and the purpose of going into self hypnosis would be defeated.

The next step would tell you to imagine something that symbolizes you being carried away or going somewhere. This could involve a vehicle or anything that your mind can come up. You would then need to imagine a kind of calm scenery such as a field of flowers, a beach with calm waters or watching the sunset. If you were planning to instill positive messages to your subconscious, this would be the time to do so.

It is almost imperative that you only think of positive messages and not clutter your mind with negative ones. It had been said that imagination can supersede what you may perceive as facts. If you think about it, why else would someone have a fear of flying even when the facts state that it is the safest mode of travel? In the same vein, it is important that you don’t entertain negative thoughts because they would then be fed into your subconscious and would then influence you.

The subconscious mind regulates how your body reacts in situations, dictates your thought process in making choices, and stores all your memories. This is the sticky part of self hypnosis. If it is used as a mode of healing and you are not fully aware of the risks of the negative thoughts entering your mind, doing self hypnosis may not be ideal for you. In fact, it might expose you to more danger than ever before.

To prevent this dilemma, it might be better to do self hypnosis solely for relaxation first, and to only venture deeply to its potential use for healing later when you have become more comfortable with the process. The thoughts you plant into your subconscious tend to direct your behavior and actions. The last part of your journey would then be a process of you going back to reality. This may involve counting or another form of imagination.

If done properly, self hypnosis can create changes in your life but what makes it less alienating is the knowledge on how your mind works while going through it.

Harness the Power of Subliminal Messaging

Scientific studies have proven that the human mind consists of two regions: The conscious and the unconscious. The conscious mind plays the “active part” which directs our actions, reasons out and accountable for the majority of our activities throughout the waking hours. The unconscious (also called subconscious) which “sits at the back,” is the passive, unquestioning part which controls our involuntary functions and in-charge of the more subtle creative faculties of the mind.

Psychologists believe that any person can create lasting improvements in oneself by accessing the power of the unconscious. However, this is not as simple as it sounds. Most individuals have no indication how to even get in touch with the unconscious, how much more for effecting improvements? This is where subliminal messaging becomes exceedingly helpful and necessary.

The term “subliminal” is derived from the Latin words “sub” (below) and “limen” (threshold), which basically means “below the threshold of consciousness.” It refers to anything that exists just beneath your conscious awareness (i.e. at the unconscious level).

By using subliminal recordings you can bypass the conscious mind and reprogram your inner self through the use of carefully crafted subliminal messages. These messages can be created for a great many things like reducing stress and inducing relaxation. Some of the best I have personally known include:

- Leadership excellence

- Creative thinking mindset

- Perfect lucid dreaming

- Supreme self-confidence

- Razor-sharp wit

- Amazing memory

- Be decisive and get what you want

- Amazing public speaking skills

- Excellent speed reading

- Lose weight quickly, and others!

In these recordings, messages are planted using special technology, which intends to communicate directly to the unconscious mind. These subliminal messages bypass the critical-conscious realm and goes straight to the unquestioning-subconscious, immediately starting to create desired changes.

How Exactly Do They Work?

Subliminal programs contain positive affirmations (subliminal messages) focused on particular areas chosen by the listener, to accomplish a specific aim. The mind “accepts” these affirmations without question, at the subconscious level, immediately beginning the work of transforming the messages into actuality in the person’s life.

Since they bypass the analytical critical-conscious mind, these subliminal messages facilitate the process of changing attitudes, skills and habits and start to reprogram the whole being towards achieving a particular goal.

Subliminal messages are generally embedded in a piece of music or masked with ocean waves and sounds of nature which are very soothing to the body and spirit. These are called “positive affirmations” which influence individual beliefs that are stored in the subconscious mind. They gradually and gently replace limiting beliefs by new empowering ones. It is an automatic and effortless method of changing yourself from the inside-out.

How Long Does It Take for Change To Happen?

You must be aware that most of your subconscious programming has taken place over an entire lifetime and may not be altered in a few hours or days. It is also likely that several issues overlap and require more than one subliminal recording to reprogram.

Let’s take the issue of self confidence as an illustration. Somebody who has low self-esteem may listen to a subliminal recording to improve in this area. Several weeks later, there seems to be little or no improvement despite the effort. It would be easy to conclude that “subliminals don’t work” and give up.

While subliminal programming is highly effective, there are factors to be considered to ensure success. Some of the basics are outlined below:

- Embedded messages. Since it is almost impossible to determine the messages used, it is always prudent to ask the source to give you a copy of the script. In our sample case, the user needs to ensure that the subliminal recording employs self-esteem affirmations targeting this area of concern.

- Requirements. Some subliminals are best listened to using headphones, while others can be played just like ordinary music. This technicality must be explicitly defined when you acquire your copy, otherwise you may be unable to maximize the true potential of this wonderful tool.

- Frequency and duration. This should come with the instructions on how to use the recording to achieve desired results. Once you know the details, you can begin to determine your progress and adjust accordingly.

Reprogramming the subconscious takes time, and results are commonly observed after about 21 - 28 days. As a rule of thumb, it is advisable to allocate personal development tools at least a month before looking for real tangible results.

The goal of subliminal programming is to effect transformation from within. When this begins to occur, you may feel an unexplained discomfort or uneasiness, a natural manifestation of resistance to change. It is a reliable sign telling you that improvement is currently taking place. This period of adjustment is important and becomes your defining moment of success or failure.

Like any other self improvement programs, you are presented with two roads to take - the old familiar way, and the new unexplored path. If you hate discomfort and stop doing it, you will find yourself back in your “old familiar way.” This is the deception of the “comfort zone” which is the cause of many failures. If you resist and persist, you will soon discover the wonders of the “new unexplored path.” When you do, success can be yours!

How to Lose Weight While Sleeping

Standing 5’ 6” the doctor tells me I’m obese at 190 pounds. It could have been no big deal if my health is perfect, but it’s not. I’m hypertensive and was advised to take that small pill every single day, to manage my hypertension, for life.

“You must be kidding doc,” I said. “I do martial arts and I’ll show you that it will be back to normal in a few weeks’ time.” The doctor’s reply caused my blood pressure to rise and my ego to crumble; “Sir, martial arts has no fight in this arena. Unless you lose weight, you’re on pills forever.”

That was 10 years ago, and I was taking the pill like the doctor said. I joined all weight loss programs that came my way, just to get rid of that pill which is straining my nerves and my pockets as well. Every time I do, my weight drops for a few weeks but invariably returns even if I’m consistent with my training. I cannot understand why, but my body seems to adapt after a while.

Eventually, I decided to try subliminal programming and acquired one of the best technologies in the market today which enables me to create my own subliminal recordings. My main objective really is to bring my weight, which has caused my hypertension, down. Wanting to see results in as short a time as possible, I listened to my special recording “on loop” while sleeping.

I couldn’t seem to notice significant improvement a week after and began to doubt whether this “subliminal thing” works. However, I was determined to finish the program and continued listening to the recording in my sleep until one day I woke up in the middle of the night. Suddenly I realized why I just couldn’t lose weight! It was an “AHA” moment for me . . .

When I was small, I used to be very skinny until I entered college. Because of that my self-confidence was low and I’m overly self-conscious. Nothing so occupied my mind but my bony figure, and decided I would do my best to become big. Eating became my favorite past time, and for a good reason. In less than a year, I have gained pounds and was so happy with the results. Then I remembered making a promise to myself; “I will never be small again.”

That promise was deeply rooted in my subconscious, and it was only that night that I realized it was blocking my progress in any weight loss program I joined. It was a form of self-sabotage I wasn’t even consciously aware of.

When I talked to some friends who are into weight loss courses, they told me the same experience. I did a small research and wasn’t very much surprised to find that roughly 80% of those who tried to lose weight gained back the pounds a few week or months after. “Back to normal,” was the joke around.

In my study of the human mind, I learned that it is basically divided into two regions; the conscious which is generally dominating during our waking stage, and the subconscious which is largely unexplored and still a mystery to many.

The conscious mind is the critical, analytical and questioning aspect and in control of most of our day-to-day activities, from preparing to go to work up to the time we decide when to go home. The subconscious, which can be compared to the unseen part of an iceberg, directs our automatic and non-voluntary actions like driving the car while listening to the news of the day.

While it appears that the subconscious operates at the background, it greatly influences how a person acts and reacts. It is the part which tells the mind, “You can never do it any other way except this.” If we do not understand how this part of the mind works, we will find that our ability to improve is somewhat constrained.

I heard the story of a very fat lady who was unsuccessful in her attempts to trim down. She tried everything to no avail, and finally decided to try hypnosis. During the session, she discovered that she unconsciously didn’t want to lose fat because she was “punishing” her unfaithful husband. It was her way of “getting even” knowing the social embarrassment her husband experiences every time he is asked about his wife.

Sounds silly, but psychologists know this phenomenon as a matter of fact. In many instances, such as the story stated above, the goals of the unconscious contradict with the goals of the conscious mind. This is what happened to me for ten years, until I began using subliminal recording to lose weight. Funny, but I was able to lose ten pounds after 28 days, with no extra effort.

Subliminal messaging works in the premise of producing results from the inside-out. It goes deep into the issue, and brings it out in the open for proper resolution. It’s simply realigning goals of the conscious with the unconscious to bring about the desired outcome. When that happens, success can be yours.

Self improvement can be achieved with the least time and effort through the use of subliminal recordings. How to Deal With Overwhelm

When you are overhwlmed, it’s sometimes hard to see a way out of it. Sometimes you need to take a step back and take care of yourself so that you can get on with things in the right frame of mind. Here are some tips that will help you to eliminate the stress you get from feeling overwhelmed.

Eliminate excessive obligations.

If you feel you have too much to do, chances are, you’ll end up exhausted and only do the absolute minimum necessary. Take a look at your weekly schedule right now. Are there obligations you’d prefer not to do? Maybe you can either delegate them to someone else, or eliminate them altogether. Getting rid of “shoulds” will give you a lot more time for “want to’s.”

Ask for help.

Just like the tip above, if you feel you’ve got too much on (and it’s making you feel overwhelmed), stop and ask for help with it! This may include getting family members to be more involved with household chores, or you might need to barter some chores with a neighbour. Do NOT feel that you need to do it all yourself, especially when you’re working toward a bigger goal. Cut a little slack for yourself, and accept that it takes a real strength to admit that you can’t do everything on your lonesome.

Give Yourself A Break

There is nothing that will result in a faster burnout than when you push yourself too much, too frequently, and for too long. “Enough is enough!” You must assess within yourself when need to take some down time and recharge. Have you been burning the proverbial midnight oil a lot lately? If so, take a well deserved break and give yourself some time off. Don’t worry, I’m not telling you to abandon your responsibilities and take off to Tahiti. In most cases, you only need a short amount of time to recharge yourself. Just make sure you remove yourself from your work environment and do something completely unrelated to work for a few hours. And remember to make sure you switch off your mobile phone and whatever you do, don’t check a single email during that time. If that means leaving your blackberry in the office, then do it.

Spend time in nature.

Take yourself to a place in nature that you find peaceful and just spend some time there. It can soothe away your frustrations, and give you the overall refreshment you need to get back to work with renewed vigor. Go to your favourite botanical gardens or nature reserve for an hour, sit and just relax. Or take a long, slow walk through them, while you let the visual beauty and natural scents to stimulate your senses in a way papers and computer screens just can’t. And if you can’t access a place in nature - create one! Even an apartment can be “spruced up” with some plants. They also happen to clean your air supply a bit, which will help you feel better as well.

Calm Your Mind

Having scattered thoughts racing through your mind can make everything seem more burdensome. Take 15 minutes before you begin working on your task to just sit quietly and centre yourself. Clear your mind, by focussing on your breath, to attune to your inner stillness. Of course, your mind will try to wander, and you will have to pull it back, but avoid growing frustrated at it. Keep bringing your focus back to your breath if any thoughts arise and you’ll create a sense of inner calm.

How to Lower the Pitch of Your Voice

Testosterone elongates the vocal chords and deepens the voice during puberty. These changes are welcomed because they are give off signals that the transition from boy to man has taken place. As well as women being more attracted to men with a deeper voice, men also tend to feel more confident to approach women, and typically have more sexual partners. Though people may claim otherwise, objectively, it’s hard to deny that we all make assumptions about people based on their voice. High pitch is often associated with anxiety and nervousness, while a low pitch indicates self confidence and low levels of stress. That’s stereotyping, but it’s something that most of us do.

All of the evidence suggests that testosterone is the agent responsible for the deepening of male voices. A ‘normal’ man’s voice is typically an octave lower than a woman’s voice. That deep male pitch is beacon, a broadcast, stating unequivocally, there’s testosterone in the room, so pay attention! Fortunately, there are options available for deepening your voice. Thyroplasty is a surgery that some may recommend. It’s really only meant to be used to repair damaged vocal chords, but an increasing amount of men are undergoing this risky surgery to lower the pitch of their voice. Personally, I think that’s unwise. Mistakes can be made, and your voice can be really screwed up. An alternative is to have fat injected into your vocal chords. This is also risky though, and it’s only a temporary solution.

Try this technique instead - when you speak, slowly exhale instead of holding in your breath. Try this as an experiment; first speak while holding your breath, then immediately repeat the words while exhaling slowly. Notice a difference? You want to avoid speaking ‘through your nose’. Instead, bring the sound up from deep within your throat. Try speaking both ways right now, and you’ll notice a big difference. Don’t rush your words when you speak. Do a little test by saying the same phrase quickly, and then very slowly. You’ll see that fast speech raises the pitch, while slow speech lowers it. The good news is that you can train your vocal chords to sound how you want them to sound. You can do this at home on yourself, or you can work with a vocal coach. Using a vocal coach will bring you the quickest results, but if you can’t afford one just yet, then do this exercise for 10-15 minutes every day…

Count from 1 to 30 in your normal speaking voice. Next, count from 1 to 100 in the lowest pitch that you can that doesn’t put a strain on your vocal chords. While counting, be mindful of all the suggestions above. Breath out slowly, speak softly, and bring the sound up from deep down in your throat. The key is relaxation. The more you push and strain, and try to speed up the process, the less swift your progress will be. It might takes weeks or months to achieve your goal, but you’ll get there in the end, so long as you’re motivated.

The Heart of Healing

I have spent many years trying to discover the ONE thing - the one vital choice - that leads to healing and joy, or to suffering.

Over 35 years ago I discovered an essential piece of the puzzle: that we each have only one to two intents at any given moment - to protect against pain and responsibility for it, or to open to learning from our pain and take responsibility for it. In other words - to learn from pain or to run from pain with our various addictions.

I discovered the next vital piece almost 25 years ago, after working as a traditional psychotherapist for 17 years and not being happy with the results. I discovered that there is no true healing without a connection with a personal source of spiritual guidance. The mind cannot heal itself.

Many people in our world are spiritually off-course, having become convinced that they cannot access Spirit directly - that they have to do it through a priest or a minister to get to God. We cannot manage the pain of life - lose of loved ones, rejection, abuse, violations, loss of limb, illness - without a direct experience of Spirit, without the compassion, wisdom and strength that comes only from Spirit. When we do not know how to have this direction connection, then our only choice is to run from pain.

And run we do - with all of our addictions to substances, processes, activities, and to anger, blaming, withdrawal, resistance, self-judgment and judgment of others. We learned to disconnect from our feelings and stay in our head, completely out of touch with the vital messages that our feelings - our inner guidance system - are giving to us. And all of our ways of avoiding pain create our suffering.

PAIN IS A FACT OF LIFE - SUFFERING IS A CHOICE

When you close your heart to not feel the pain of life, you create suffering. When you judge yourself, you create suffering. When you turn to addictions, you create suffering. When you shut down, you create suffering.

The question is: What IS the pain we work so hard to avoid?

Loneliness. Heartache. Heartbreak. Grief. Helplessness over others and events. These are some of the core painful feelings - the existential feelings of life - that we work so hard to avoid feeling.

As small children, we could not handle these feelings, so we learned to protect against them. All our protections/addictions inflict pain on ourselves and cause pain in others - creating a cycle of suffering.

The centuries of disconnection from Spirit created the fear of core painful feelings - as we had no way to handle them. We learned to protect against them, thus perpetrating suffering on our children, who then also learned to protect against the loneliness and heartbreak of childhood.

The final piece of the puzzle of healing, the heart of healing, the ONE vital choice that leads to healing and joy - is our willingness to learn to manage our core painful feelings in a loving way, so that we don’t need to avoid them with our addictions.

THE HEART OF HEALING

Someone yells at you. Someone judges you. Someone rejects you. Someone tries to use you. Someone violate you, betrays you, invades you, blames you, shuts you out.

What do you do?

If you are like most people, you get reactive - judging, blaming, complying, resisting, withdrawing.

You experience loss - loss of a loved one, loss of money, loss of limb, loss of heath, loss of respect, loss of a job.

What do you do?

If you are like most people, you turn to food, alcohol, drugs, TV, video games, gambling, spending, sex, anger, blame, judgment, withdrawal.

What else can you do?

You can open to the core painful feelings - feeling shattered, crushed, broken hearted, deeply lonely. You can acknowledge these authentic feelings, open to your spiritual Guidance and bring in deep caring, compassion, tenderness, and gentleness to yourself. With the help of Spirit, you CAN manage these feelings. And by opening to them, you allow them to move through you rather than getting stuck in your body. By opening to them, you feel the pain, but you do not cause suffering by avoiding them with your addictions. By opening to them, you also open to learning about what information they are giving you, and what loving actions to take in your own behalf. Learning to do this will change everything in your life.

This is the heart of healing.

Let’s Stop Smoking

The best time to stop smoke is definitely right now. Many people put this decision for later but sometimes misfortune can bring them serious disease before. I would like to help you realizing that smoking is unwanted habit that can only cause you problems.

When you smoke you may already suffer from it. Brown teeth, cough that shows up on a regular basis and lowered energy levels. You probably say to yourself than you will stop smoking one day or you are trying at least few times in a year. People pretty often cheat themselves by saying that they are not able to quit. Here comes the big news – you can, as millions of people before you did.

I will tell you about a Mike who is a good friend of mine. One time when he was watching a movie with his wife it went out that is necessary to put out the cigarette to open new bag with salty sticks for his woman. In under 30 seconds of break his cigarette was not burning anymore. When he reached to take it he noticed that his lighter was lost or simply left at work. He was so surprised by combination of this accidents that for a second he thought that it may be sign. This though kept coming back to him and in just few hours he took the right decision. He said to his wife that he quit smoking and since that day he had never put cigarette in his mouth.

I understand that you may say that it is just a story, but for me it has been event that set my friend free from his addiction. If you think about leaving yours then it is best time to decide and set yourself free as well. There is simply so much diseases that attacks smokers that smoking is like committing suicide in few thousands small steps. It happens that smokers blame everything else but not cigarettes and when they do we need realize with what we deal – it is called complete denial.

There is another story, but this time I have just heard it. Alice was a smoker and even if her doctor said to her that she is simply allergic to cigarettes she could not accept it. She removed of all possible allergens in her house, applied diet and even change her cosmetics. Nothing helped and finally she decided that she needs to see does cigarettes provokes allergic reactions. On the second day of nonsmoking, even if a little bit nervous she got up and took a deep breath. It was one of deeper ones she experienced in last years as her air channels were clear. Once she realized that it was easy for her to quit smoking.

I would like to know are you like Alice or rather like Mike? Do you see things and does your mind wants to put a “sign” label on them? If it so then probably it is really a good and strong sign which can help you to quit smoking and feel better. I just mean that there is no sense in poisoning yourself for the pleasure that can come from eating a chocolate and you will realize that once you stop to smoke.

Quit Smoking for the Sake of Your Loved Ones

Smoking is very bad habit not only for a person who smokes but also to his family and friends. When you smoke and your children are around then your not only influencing your health, but also their. It is important to realize that even if we have freedom on poisoning ourselves we should not harm people that are around us. So if you are smoking at home then you can consider ones close to you as a passive smokers.

Smokers inhale two different types of smoke. First one comes from your cigarette or pipe and is the one that you inhale while the second is what is left out of it after leaving your lungs. Second type of smoke is also full of chemical substances and if anyone around breathing them then such a person is put under the same risks as the first-hand smoker. Many researches have been done on this subject and results are clear. Babies suffer the same health conditions that smoking person does. The variety of problems that secondhand smokers can have goes from discomfort in breathing to cancerogenic mutations in their cells. Pretty often secondhand smoking is cause of heart problems.

Nonsmokers can “take a pull” most commonly in three places and we gonna go over them now.

First one is work and they can be simply affected by their smoking colleagues. Even if smoking is prohibited in many places it is still not everywhere. I believe that with passing years and growing awareness this problem will disappear.

Another location group includes all the public spots. If you found yourself in a place with bad ventilation and few smokers around you then it is better to leave as in there you are becoming a passive smoker. In current times you can get caught by smoke from cigarettes nearly everywhere – starting from schools and finishing on trains and other public transportation.

The third and most dangerous location is your own home or flat. If you do not want to quit smoking then at least leave your house. Smoking at home cause SEVERAL damages to your children and partner. It is your household so be sure that it is a healthy environment suitable for growth and not a poisonous cell.

Government and many local officials started to promote new laws and regulations that will prohibit smoking at least in public places. There are several areas designed for people who cannot bare with their addiction and they are well separated from people who does not smoke. Lots of restaurants, pubs and bars already prohibited smoking and even more will be taking this step in short time. In the same time there is not one person who would regulate on what you can do in your house. If you are smoking indoors then be aware that any health problems that may happen to your children in future may be effect of your will and sometimes laziness so I will repeat one more time – for sake of your loved ones, quit smoking or at least leave your house of flat when you are in need for a nicotine shot.

Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)

It’s not uncommon to have a social anxiety disorder. In fact, approximately one in every ten people suffers from it at one point or another. Some suffer from the disorder when they experience any kind of social situations, while some only suffer from it during certain social situations, such as presenting at an event, speaking in public, or when performing in front of an audience. The anxiety and fears that overcome suffers are very real and substantive, even though non-sufferers may dismiss them as being unreasonable. Overcoming social anxiety is crucial because if unchecked and untreated, it could lead to a more severe social anxiety disorder which can even greatly interfere with your daily life and it may lead to needing professional psychiatric help.

There is no easy solution, but there are definite means of overcoming social anxiety disorder. Those suffering from social anxiety disorder deal with this problem every day. If you’re having problems with feelings of anxiety and nerves when faced with social situations, don’t give up. Individuals suffering from social anxiety disorder, otherwise known as social phobia, will do anything possible to stay away from certain social situations that they fear. Some even go to the extremes of avoiding situations where there are other people involved like social events, work meetings and school classes. They don’t show up at the events for fear that they will do something that will humiliate or embarrass them. If they do show up, they will not get involved.

The cause of social anxiety disorder is not yet known. Children who are shy often suffer from the disorder as adults. A person’s upbringing can also be a factor that causes one to experience it - a person with overly critical or overly protective parents are more prone to suffer from social anxiety disorder. It could also be because of abnormal reactions in brain parts that control emotional reactions. Or it could be causes by a combination of the three possible causes. Whilst the causes of the disorder have not yet been established, good progress has been made with the methods of treating it. The most successful technique that’s used is one called cognitive behavioral therapy, which is carried out by specially trained therapists. The purpose of this therapy is to replace the negative thoughts that occur with positive ones.

Other types of therapy that psychologists recommend include exposure therapy, relaxation therapy and breathing techniques. You can do it as in group or individual sessions. Reading self help books is also recommended, and there are many useful ones to choose from. For those who suffer really badly from social anxiety disorder, courses of medication may also be administered. Most of the medications work on brain chemicals, like serotonin, that are responsible for symptoms of anxiety. You can get these medications with the right assessment and prescription from a doctor. Medications don’t fully treat social anxiety disorder. Psychological therapies like Cognitive behavioral therapy are more effective since they deal with the cause of fear and they also don’t have side effects.
