Free Hypnosis Online

When you have a problem, it’s just natural to search for free hypnosis materials online. The Internet is free, and it always makes sense to try before you buy. With free hypnosis techniques, though, you must judge with extra clarity. Otherwise you could end up putting some unfettered junk into your subconscious mind. And while the price may be free, the time you lose can cost you a lot.

Here are three guidelines to follow when deciding which online hypnosis sites are actually worth your time:

1. How detailed is the free hypnosis? Many hypnotists offer free hypnosis courses online, including me (link below). Many of them don’t give you enough information to go on. While you can achieve hypnotic trance fairly quickly, what you do with that trance is another thing entirely. I recommend staying away from the teaching sites that have hypnosis tutorials right next to ones on fixing your car and baking a cake. Your subconscious mind deserves more respect than a cake. When someone offers a free email course or a free ebook on hypnosis, with enough detail that they know what they’re doing, all the better.

2. Can they back up their claims? For instance, if they claim to be a hypnotherapist– rather than just a hypnotist– do they have an actual degree in therapy and counseling? In most places, this isn’t regulated at all, so you could seriously endanger your mental health by giving some unqualified joker the keys to your brain. One lousy trick a lot of fake hypnotherapists use is to use the title “Doctor” when they have a PhD– in education or some other unrelated field. At the very least, any hypnotherapist worth their salt will have a certification from one of the major hypnosis certifiers, like the Society of Applied Hypnosis. Most times you can tell who’s genuine and who’s trying to sell you junk by reading three pages on their web site. Is the “about” page blank? Time to move on.

3. Do they have more to offer? Most web sites skim the surface. Clearly, whoever is behind them just doesn’t have the knowledge to go in-depth. The ones you should spend time with actually dig in deeply, explaining concepts in more depth, showing you other resources you can use, and helping you achieve what they have already achieved. Ask yourself, would I read this site every day? Would I feel embarrassed if someone found this site in my browser history? Is the site educational, or does it feel like a scam?

Above all, trust your gut. One of the biggest things hypnosis can do is get you to understand and work with your subconscious mind. So listen to it now when you run across that sketchy-looking hypnosis site. Because your subconscious is actually quite intelligent. It can tell when you’re about to get into something that will reward you, and when you’re about to get into something that might not.

Because when you find something that really, truly rewards you, price suddenly doesn’t matter.

For online free self hypnosis, check out hypnosis expert Teddy Maynard’s site and blog, Hypnotize Yourself Today! You can get the relaxed confidence, personal growth and mental acuity of self-hypnosis? and even take steps to a get a hypnotherapy certification.

The Basics of Feng-Shui

Feng-Shui is an art that was developed over 3000 years ago. It is based on strategic beliefs over how a building or space is set up. It was developed because it is believed that wind and water is connected to good health and that land and nature are alive and full of energy. With this in mind, a chart was invented listing all of the major elements and their corresponding colors that represent good health and happiness. It is used around the world and is especially popular for businesses that are setting up their office spaces and for home use.

When people are styling their homes they often have a few methods for doing so. They can arrange furniture and items in a way that they feel looks nice and work for the space or they can hire a decorator who will map out a precise color plan and arrange the room accordingly. And people can use Feng-Shui to organize their home and space. In this belief, there are certain colors and items and the placing of furniture that will bring good luck and happiness into the home. Some decorators even base some of their planning based on these methods.

There are two main components of Feng-Shui elements; they are the compass and the Ba-Gua. The Ba-Gua is based on an octagonal grid and the compass is used to assess deep meaning inside a room, space or building.

There are five elements to Feng-Shui. They are; wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Each of these elements has a corresponding color attached to them. Wood is associated with green and brown. Fire is together with red, yellow, orange, purple and pink. Earth goes with light yellow and sandy tones, light brown. Metal is a part of white and gray, and water is with blue and black tones. It is believed that color can be used to make a space stronger and more balanced. Creating a happy space is something that everyone desires when decorating an office or home space.

There are things to consider before adding Feng-Shui elements to a space. The first thing that needs to be done is de-cluttering your space. There is no point in applying the principals and beliefs if your space is cluttered and messy. Feng-Shui is all about balance and harmony, something that cannot be achieved with a cluttered kitchen counter or a bathroom with towels all over the floor. Providing good air quality is also important. There needs to be access to fresh air or an air cleaner to ensure that the air flow is good. And the lighting in the room needs to be appropriate, natural light works best for allowing Feng-Shui properties to run through them.

There are lots of decorating beliefs with Feng-Shui, to name a few, there are colors that have been known to add or take away certain emotions or elements. Dark blue can affect a person`s thinking, white is considered a color of death in Chinese belief, light greens are warm and welcoming, and red is good luck. In the bedroom it is advised that things be put in pairs to aid in marital bliss, it is also recommended that the bed always face the door to keep a good idea on the main entrance way of your room while you are sleeping. And in the office it is imperative that the desk or desks be facing a door to see who is coming and going. In the kitchen it is advised that your stove be in front of a door way or a mirror and that someone shouldn`t cook if he is in a bad mood.

Success Strategies - Be a Leader and a Role Model For Others

Our business has 5 fundamental strategies for success that we call: ‘The 5 Pillars Of Success’. These principles are used as a daily ’success checklist’ by which we run our business and our lives.

One of those success strategies is ‘The Expectation Of Leadership In Yourself And Others’. Think about that statement for a moment. Our whole life, in all of the various roles in which we find ourselves, we expect, and demand, leadership from those around us.

Now I know that there are many different definitions of leadership. Let me define what I mean by leadership. To lead, for me, is to be in service for other people. Leadership means service

Leadership calls for respect, and respect has nothing at all to do with ‘like’. It took me a long time to realize that ‘respect’ does not have to go hand in hand with ‘like’ and, similarly, ‘leadership’ has nothing to do with ‘telling people how to do something’. Rather, it has everything to do with inspiring people and empowering them to do things for themselves.

To be a leader, we need to first start respecting ourselves. We need to show up every day in our lives and in our businesses and give both of them the level of respect that they deserve. Quite simply, we can not expect respect from others if we don’t respect ourselves.

As a child, we naturally assume that our parents will be our leaders. At school, we look to our teachers to be leaders. As adults, every single day, there is an expectation of leadership from one person or another.

We expect our manager to make the right decisions and lead the company to success. We expect the shop assistant to ‘be in charge’ for us so that we can select and pay for our goods. We expect the bank clerk to explain the state of our finances and to lead us through our financial transactions.

Every day we expect leadership in others. But what of the leadership we expect from ourselves? If we expect those around us to be in leadership for us, shouldn’t we shoulder some of the responsibility of leadership too? Shouldn’t we expect ourselves to also be a role model?

So, the next time you are standing in line at the bank, or cussing the traffic warden for leaving a ticket on your car, ask yourself this: Do you stand in leadership for yourself and others in every area of your life?

If you fulfilling your duty as a leader, then congratulations, I have no doubts that your life and your business are thriving right now. The reason being that leaders always succeed, as there is always a need for their service.

However, if you’re not currently being the leader that you should be, before you point the finger of blame at somebody else, remember that every time we point a finger, three more are pointing back at us. You should make sure that your own life is in order before telling others how to act in theirs.

Being a ‘Plan A’ Person Will Bring You Success

Of all the secrets of success out there, being a ‘Plan A’ person is one of the most fundamental. The reason being that the vast majority of those currently enjoying success in their lives are ‘Plan A’ people.

So, what exactly is a ‘Plan A’ person, and how can you tell if you are being one in every area of your life?

First, lets consider what a ‘Plan A’ person is. A good friend of mine, who is a perfect example of a ‘Plan A’ person, put it like this: “A ‘Plan A’ person is a person who’s plan B is that plan A works”. Simple, right? No ‘if’s’, no ‘buts’, and definitely no plan B. Plan A works. Full stop.

If you want to be a ‘Plan A’ person, then important lesson number 1 is to establish your plan A. You need to make sure that it is a good one too, after all, there will be no plan B in place.

Important lesson number 2 is to always, always stick to your plan A. Every now and then life gets a little rocky, and when you come face to face with the obstacles that will inevitably arise, some of life’s little stumbling blocks, you need to be resolute.

Having just one plan is really to your benefit here as, when you have more than one choice, you waste time weighing up the pros and cons of each instead of just going forwards. When that happens, you take your eyes off the prize, make the wrong choice, and your original intentions become diluted.

Important lesson number 3 is to not, under any circumstances, change plan A. Remember, that if you make any changes to plan A, then it becomes plan B, which are no longer allowed!

Now you know what a ‘Plan A’ is. The next thing to consider is how to change to be a ‘Plan A’ person. How do you step up to the mark if you’re currently a Plan B, C, D or even E person?

Well, success breeds success and, likewise, ‘Plan A’ people breed ‘Plan A’ people. There are only 26 letters in the alphabet, so I don’t even think there is even a proper term that describes me before I made the conscious decision to become a ‘Plan A’ person i.e I was a ‘Plan Z+’ person.

However, by making friends with, doing business with, reading the same books as, and following the same strategies as ‘Plan A’ people, it didn’t take me long to become one too. It really is as straightforward as emulating the successful people (who are invariably ‘Plan A’ people that you want to be like.

If I can do it, and lots of people I’ve met can do it, then so can you. You’ve already taken a big step in the right direction, you now just need to not look back again. Do that, and the success that you’ve always dreamed of will soon be a reality rather than a dream!

Secrets of Success : A Positive Self Image is All Important

Your self image holds the master key to your success. No matter what level of success you attain ‘outwardly’ in your life, your life will, ultimately, only ever grow to the extent that you do or, more specifically, the extent that your self image does.

There is a quote by Dr. Maxwell Maltz that is worth taking note of here - “Our self image and our habits tend to go together. Change one and you will automatically change the other.” Take a minute to think about that, and also to consider your self image and your habits.

Look at your soul in a mirror. How does your self image look when it is reflected back to you? Do you radiate with inner confidence or does the mirror reflect a rather more tarnished and murky version of the ‘beautiful inner you’? Would you even dare to look in the mirror? What does your reflection say about you?

Our self image is what makes us behave ‘like us’. As such, the habits we adopt, and the way we ’see’ ourselves in our life, are a direct result of our self image and the way that our self image views ourselves. They are absolutely connected in every way, shape and form.

As you achieve success, wealth, or ’status’ in your life, if your self image gets left behind, eventually it will press the master ‘re-set’ button on your life, and you will find yourself sliding backwards, sometimes at an alarming rate. In some instances, full on self-implosion is the unfortunate consequence.

It comes down to the fundamental issue of ‘derservability’. Does the self image believe that we deserve to have all this fame/beauty/wealth/ fill-in-the-blank? If not, you will not stay there, because the self image, like all of us, has a very comfortable comfort zone.

If the self image asks “Is this really me?”, and the answer comes back “No”, the self image starts to feel out of control and will change or modify our behaviors to get us back firmly within the boundaries of our comfort zone.

Bear in mind also that you can’t fool your self image. Lying to yourself, and trying to make yourself believe that you’re something that you’re not will never work in the long run. You have to be honest with yourself at all times.

Note here that self image has nothing to do with ‘ego’, which is on the ‘outside’ and is bolstered up by ‘outside’ events, such as praise or adulation from the outside world. Your self image is the praise or adulation that you give yourself. It is the self-talk that goes on within your mind, the images you reflect outward from within.

So, to summarize, our thoughts, habits and actions may be what get us to the level that we want to be in our life but it is the self image that keeps us there. Therefore, if you want to achieve long lasting success, give your self image the time and attention that it deserves.

Success Strategies : The Right Way to Deal With Change

The issue with change is not so much what we think of it, but rather how we respond to change. Truth be told, there are few words that throw up such a kaleidoscope of emotions and differing interpretations for us.

On the one hand, we find change exciting. We all wish our lives to improve, after all, no positive progress can be made without change. On the other hand, the word can be viewed in a negative light, as change is as likely to be bad as it is good.

Synonyms for the word ‘changeable’ include: ‘volatile’, ‘uncertain’, ‘unstable, ‘unsettled’. All of those can make us feel ‘vulnerable’, ‘unsure’ and / or ‘insecure’.

There is a part of us that likes to feel secure and safe and change is not compatible with that. Yet, after change has taken places, we very often call it ‘evolution’, ‘progress’, ‘expansion’, ‘growth’ or ‘advancement’; words which bring out far more positive emotions from within us.

So, it seems that it is not change itself which makes us anxious so much as the transition process - that step into the unknown. We feel comfortable with the stability of things as they are ‘now’. Now is somehow comforting because we know what to expect.

Perhaps it is not change that we fear, rather it is the loss of control that we associate with it. Change inherently carries an element of risk. Sometimes that fear, that perceived risk, is so big that it keeps us where we are now despite the current discomforts.

At the other end of the scale, there are times when we have probably all been guilty of making changes just for the sake it. We change the color of our hair, we change the layout of the living room furniture, we may even change where we work.

I used to change jobs every 4 months, as no job I ever found was the ‘right job’. I believed that when I found the ‘right job’ all of my unhappiness would go away. However, someone once pointed out to me that you can move to the moon if you want but nothing will really change because you are still taking ‘You’ with you.

Why? We do it to distract ourselves from making the changes in our life that really matter. In reality, it might be our choice of career that is making us unhappy, but we will change our hair color ‘just to make ourselves feel better’, because that is an easy and manageable change for us to cope with.

Seeing as change is inevitable, why not embrace it? Use change as an opportunity to measure what is going right or wrong, and to get yourself back on track and focused. Use it as your master key to success. How else are we going to grow?

I will leave you with a quote by Charles Darwin - “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

How to Create Positive Affirmations

Many of us grow up with a set of beliefs about ourselves or comparing ourselves unfavourably with others. As we grow up we begin to put ourselves down for any slight failure, whether real or imagined. Our parents, teachers and other influential adults can inadvertently create a diminished self image and install a number of limiting beliefs. This is compounded by the numbers of times we think or talk to ourselves everyday in negative terms.

The use of positive affirmations is a powerful technique to change that negative self-talk into something more positive.

Leading thinkers and researchers on the use of affirmations include Jack Canfield and John Assaraf. Research on the effectiveness of positive affirmations as a life enhancing tool has led to the formation of the following eight step system for setting positive affirmations.

1. Affirmations should start with the words I AM. These are two of the most powerful words in the English language as they send a command to the subconscious part of our minds.

2. Positive – our minds like to work in pictures, therefore we cannot not think about something. So trying not to think of a pink elephant will undoubtedly bring up an image of a pink elephant. An affirmation such as I am enjoying breathing clean air will be more effective than I am no longer a smoker.

3. State in the present tense. This sets up an imbalance in the subconscious which it will then seek to correct. For example if you want to gain a particular position at work, state I am the regional sales manager, rather than I want to be or I will be.

4. Specific – Our subconscious minds require clear specific instructions which allow them to accurately pursue what we have programmed in the form of positive affirmations. So “I am rich” is not specific enough, better to say “I am earning $100,000 per year”. You may also like to add the phrase this or something better, because if you are too limiting in your desires, such as “I want to marry Susan”, she might not be interested, available or the best match for you.

5. Contain an active verb – without getting into high school grammar mode, an active verb is a do-ing word such as living, having, achieving, earning and so on.

6. Contain a feeling – this magnifies the power of your affirmations by adding the fuel of emotion. Consider including feelings such as joyful, excited, thankful or freedom.

7. Keep it brief- to be most effective, your affirmation should be easily remembered and repeated often. By keeping it brief you are far more likely to remember it. As a fun exercise you could consider trying to make it rhyme. In this way, similar to advertising jingles, your affirmation will stick in your head.

8. Make it personal – your affirmations should be about you. You will not be successful in trying to change another person, neither are you likely to be fully engaged with words that someone else has suggested for you.

A suggested format might look something like this:

“I am so thankful for the freedom that being a millionaire brings me” or “I am so proud to be accepting my diploma in front of my family and friends”

The final thing to remember about positive affirmations is that they must be repeated frequently to reprogram your subconscious into accepting they are true. Some teachers suggest 100 times a day, others recommend putting your affirmations on your bedside table and reciting first thing in the morning and last things at night.

Like many things we don’t fully understand, it would be easy to dismiss the power of affirmations, but enough respected and highly successful people use them that, this writer, for one, will be stepping up his affirmations game.

To dicover more about the power of positive affirmations we have put together a free video mini seminar for you. Follow the link to get our free positive affirmations video.

Self-Awareness - Empowering a Better You!

Self-awareness consists of digging deep into yourself and discovering why you feel and do the things that you do. Often finding out what makes you tick, can help to make positive changes about yourself in the future. A confident person is usually someone who understands themselves and accepts all that they are about.

Creating self-awareness can happen at any age. Sometimes kids are so intuitive that they can achieve it at a young age as they discover who they are. It can also happen as an adult as they search out the answers to their life. Many times it happens a few times in someone`s life, as they take a break to pause and reflect on who they are and who they have become.

As life goes by so quickly it is often easy to lose track of where you always wanted to go in life. Perhaps you always saw yourself with four kids and a trailer on the beach. But you realize at a certain point that family hasn`t been your recent focus. Sometimes it is a good idea to reflect on your past to see how you got in the place you ended up. And ask yourself if you`re happy there. Maybe you always dreamed about something but now realize that it wasn`t really where you wanted to go. Sometimes life twists and changes with you as you grow.

Learning how you behave might create some self-acceptance. This is a good time to ask you some personal questions. Are you a shy person? Do you get critical with people all the time? Are you an angry person? Do you have lots of friends? Often a shy adult will always wish that they were more outgoing. Because if they were, they might have some more friends. Often a shy adult is the result of a serious of childhood events. It could be genes, the result of critical and non-accepting parents, bullying from peers, the non-acceptance from peers, or perhaps the moving around as a kid that never allowed you to plant roots. With all of these background points to consider, it is normal that they might become a shy person.

The key is to accept past events and accept the fact that you are a shy person. There is nothing wrong with it. Perhaps addressing this issue might help you think about how you can make friends regardless. Sometimes being a thinker, writing ideas down and planning can help you achieve your personal goals. If you are a critical person, you can reflect about why you think you might be this way. Was it because of a critical upbringing? Or are you critical because you are defensive or just don`t know how to say something nice? Sometimes there is a deeper meaning behind something, that when thought about can bring about some great changes.

Learning about yourself through reflection can empower you to become a better person. Self-reflection involves thinking about all of the things that make you happy, sad, and scared, mad and so on. Thinking about emotions and what can trigger these feelings might be just the thing to learn about who you are. It is also important to think about all of the things that you like about yourself and the things you would like to change. And think about weather things are the result of your view or the view of others. Self-awareness involves understanding and accepting yourself for who you are.

Astrology - Using the Planets to Predict the Future

Discovering the trials and tribulations of astrology can ultimately change your life. As you look into it, it may be an eye opener for you, with ideas and concepts that are deep and meaningful. Understanding it, takes time because there is lots of information to take in and learn. However, once you do learn how it works and what it means, it will change your life for the better.

Often people try to learn and understand astrology because they want to learn more about themselves. Many people believe strongly in the way that astrology works and feel that the stars and planets aligning ultimately predict and plan their future. Astrology is made up of lots of categories, charts and numbers that make it a very scientific process.

There are a few signs in astrology that are based on your birthday. Depending on when you were born, you have a sign that is made up for that month. The signs are; Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Libra, Virgo, Leo, and Cancer. Everyone can have a sign and use it when they want to know about their horoscope. A horoscope can be daily, monthly or yearly. You can find horoscopes in the newspapers, magazines, and on the internet. Some people check their horoscope everyday or just check in once a month. For some, the things written in their future telling are true, while for others it didn’t even get close.

In astrology, every planet has a house and sign. The Sun represents the sign Leo and it provides the will to survive, the ego and will power. The Moon represents Cancer and provides inner self and emotional make-up and well being. Mercury represents Gemini and stands for governing the way we think. Venus represents Taurus and Libra and stands for love and relationships. Mars represents Aries and offers assertion, and competitiveness. Jupiter represents Sagittarius; this planet is connected to good luck and optimism. Saturn stands for Capricorn and represents, learning by your mistakes and can cause many setbacks. Uranus is connected with Aquarius and is a planet that is free of conventions.

Neptune represents Pisces; this planet allows you to defuse situations but often make things look foggy and unclear. Pluto represents Scorpio and stands for power and control. This information comes in handy when experts read their charts and look at how some of the planets are aligning in the lines and grids on the chart. They feel that when certain planets get to close or end up in a certain area those things will likely happen in a particular way. This helps people who go and see astrologers on a regular basis, who want to know their future and need help in making decisions.

It is also believed that the moon has nodes. The south and the north node. The nodes represent mathematical points that connect the moon to the sun and help to align them together. The north node is for the future and opportunities that lay ahead, while the south node is for lessons and talents already learned.

A birth chart is divided into twelve segments. The segments are called houses and are numbered from 1-12 counter clockwise. When planets fall into a house it releases energies and strength for certain aspects to happen. Learning all about the charts takes some extensive training, because it is a complicated system that constantly changes.

Why Thoughts of Success Will Bring You Real Success

Most of us are familiar with the concept: ‘What we think about we bring about’. And, at a broad, brush-strokes level, that is certainly true. However, if were as simple as that, we would all have everything we had ever desired in our life right here, right now.

To more accurately understand this statement, I believe that we need to drill down a little deeper and to look at what exactly is meant by the word ‘think’. As you may or may not know, what we ‘think’ falls into 2 main categories - our conscious thoughts and our subconscious thoughts.

A conscious thought is one that we make an effort to bring about. The thoughts that we intentionally create and give our focus to each day, like: “I must remember to phone my mother this evening”.

Studies have shown that around 20% of our thoughts occur at a conscious level each day. Subconscious thoughts therefore make up the remaining 80% or so of our total number of thoughts.

So, would you be surprised to learn that if only around 20% of what you ultimately desire is currently showing up in your life, it may be that you need to spend more time consciously working on what you are ‘inputting’ every day to affect what is happening to the other 80%?

So, how can you make such a change to your thought patterns? As it isn’t possible to control what is happening at a subconscious level, we need to change our input at a conscious level. To do that, we need to do the following…

- Processes such as positive affirmations, meditation, and keeping a daily performance journal, in which we record only the positive things we have achieved that day, will all feed powerful affirming thoughts into the conscious mind, which then permeate into the subconscious mind.

- Whenever negative emotions rise, e.g, emotions of anger, doubt or fear, we need to put them straight out of our minds. Why? Because emotions are transitory. It takes a combination of emotion and though to generate a permanent feeling at a subconscious level, not emotion alone. If we refuse to pay attention to that emotion, it will pass.

- We need to surround ourselves with like-minded individuals and consume a daily diet of positive thoughts, by reading motivational and inspirational books and quotes. In this way we generate positive thoughts and emotions, which if we choose to focus on, create new, positive feelings.

- The subconscious can’t distinguish between ‘real’ and ‘imaginary’. Therefore, in relation to our feelings, our subconscious can’t tell a ‘real’ past event from an ‘imagined’ one. By consistently consuming a daily diet of positive energy, over time, perpetual positivity becomes our ‘reality’.

By following the above steps, we can gradually use the 20% of our thoughts that we have the power to control to bring about change to the 80% that just ‘happen’, thus effecting the other 80% of stuff in our lives which feel out of our control.
